When The Lost Souls recorded “It Won’t Work Out Baby,” the group’s line up consised of: Eddie Lebron, Gene Serina, Butch Poveromo & Paul Petrucelli. Part of The Lost Souls, originated with The Vels on Amy records. Eddie Lebron & Gene Serina were part of this group. The Vels recorded " Do The Walk " & " In Laws " on Amy Records in 1963. Jerry Landis (better known as Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel) produced the group. The Vels would one year later change their name to The Styles (with Eddie Lebron on lineup) and record " I Love You For Sentimental Reasons ” b/w “ School Bells to Chapel Bells ” for Josie Records. (Gene Serina was in the military at the time. Later after, Gene Serina returned to the group.)
